This Is Mechanical Watch Relies on Manual Winding to function properly. If your mechanical watch has stopped working due to insufficient winding
Mechanical watches have a limited power reserve, which determines how long the watch will run after being fully wound. If your watch has stopped, it might simply need to be wound. Follow these steps to wind your watch:
- Gently unscrew the crown (the small knob on the side of the case) by turning it counterclockwise until it pops out slightly.
- Rotate the crown clockwise in a slow and steady motion, typically for about 20 to 30 full rotations.
- Push the crown back in and gently screw it back into place by turning it clockwise until snug. d. Wait for a few minutes to see if the watch starts ticking again.
